What is the Most Comfortable Fabric for Pyjamas? With the modern workforce shifting to remote working opportunities, many people are able to start working as soon as they get out of bed. Uncomfortable clothing can distract us. We often focus on how uncomfortable a tye feels around our neck, or how itchy a brand new dress shirt makes our skill feel. When you are comfortable, you are more productive. Why not spend your day in PJs that are comfortable, high quality, and help you feel relaxed? The best fabric for pajamas are: 1. Modal 2. Silk 3. Fleece 4. Cotton 5. Flannel 6. Broadcloth 7. Knits What is Modal? Modal is an eco-friendly material that is made from beech-tree pulp. It’s lightweight, stretchy, and breathable, making it the ideal fabric for year-round wear. It’s 50% more absorbent than cotton and doesn’t shrink when put into the wash. The Production Process 1. The production process for modal starts with harvesting beech trees. 2. They are then chipped and the cellulose is extracted from the pulp. 3. After that, the cellulose is made into sheets and then they are soaked in sodium hydroxide. 4. The sheets are then broken into smaller pieces and then soaked in carbon disulfate which produces sodium cellulose xanthate. 5. In order to create fibers, the cellulose xanthate is soaked in sodium hydroxide again and then put into a spinneret. 6. The new fibers are then soaked in sulfuric acid which forms yarn. 7. The yarn is then washed, bleached, and then dried. 8. Finally, the yarn is then loaded onto spools where it can be woven or knit into a fabric that forms modal.
